Monarch Butterflies for  Weddings and Special Events

I offer
"LIVE" Monarch Butterflies to release at your wedding or special event  instead of the
traditional confetti, balloons, doves or birdseed.

A live
"Monarch Butterfly"  release adds a truly memorable and "Magical"
extra to your wedding ceremony or special event; plus helping the environment a little by
putting some butterflies back into nature.

The Monarchs are fully grown adult butterflies and will either go back into nature and lay eggs or migrate if in the fall of the year after release..

All Monarchs come individually packaged.

The temperature for a successful Monarch butterfly release is above 15
degrees C.

The butterflies I raise are Monarch Butterflies and they come in small
triangular envelopes one per envelope. At a wedding the bride and groom's names and
wedding date are printed on the envelopes; along with a picture of a

Monarch Butterfly.    The little saying…….

" To-day our love is given wings"

can also be printed onto the envelope.

 ……

And for other events any short 2-3 line message can be added.

The way it usually works is that the best man or Master of Ceremonies reads the following
statement, which is included with your butterflies.

Ancient North American Indian Legend

As the Indian Legend Goes

If anyone desires a wish to come true they must capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it.

Since they make no sound, they can't tell the wish to anyone, but the Great Spirit

So by making the wish and releasing the butterfly it will be taken to the heavens and be granted.

To-day we have chosen to keep this tradition alive by performing this unique
form of Indian celebration.

Please add your own silent wish to assist them on their way.

After the saying is read everyone makes their silent wish and to-gether
the butterflies are set free.

Your Monarch Butterflies Journey

I send the butterflies out on Thursday evenings via courier for a Saturday
Monarch Butterfly release. You get them on Friday and just keep them in a cool dark area such
as a basement overnight till Saturday morning.

You then take the butterflies out into normal temperatures about an hour
before leaving for the event or wedding: but not in a hot car or in the direct Sun.

I guarantee live butterflies; but cannot be held responsible for courier
delays even though late deliveries are extremely rare.

All Butterflies are not the same. If you have decided to get Monarch Butterflies for your wedding.

    Insist on all Monarch Butterflies.

There are other breeders; who offer a mix of Monarch and Painted Lady butterflies.

The Painted Lady Butterfly is unsuited for butterfly releases. The Painted Lady butterfly is smaller and moth like in appearance and needs very warm temperatures to fly well.

It is usually offered since it is very easy to breed & raise.

Magical Monarchs specializes in the Monarch for a variety of reasons.

The Monarch is a large; very pretty and vibrant butterfly.   The Monarch will "WOW" your guests!

The Monarch is a very large vibrant colorful butterfly, which has a wingspan of about 4 inches

The Painted Lady is much smaller about 2 ¼ inches

Whether you get Monarchs  from Magical Monarchs (best choice) or another Canadian breeder; insist on references;  so that you are comfortable with the breeder and answers all your questions and concerns.
